BL45p G1 that thinks it's a BL25p G1

We had a faulty BL45p G1 that wouldn't post. We found by removing the CPU's in slots 3 & 4 that the blade would work. We have since upgraded the firmware on the blade, hoping this would fix it. But we have the same fault, but we've noticed that when you do this, if you ILO on the blade, it shows as a BL25p G1 and in the RBSU. Should a BL45p G1 without the secondary board show as a BL25p? or could it have been upgraded with the wrong firmware, please advise?

I believe i have had a similar experience, when the BL45P was new.

I believe there's a BL25P system I/O board installed in the server.
Remove the lid, and check the spare part no on the primary system I/O bd.

post the p/n here.

It can't bea BL25p board, as it has the connector on the other side to connect to the secondary board. Sadly I can't check the part number because it was sent away. I can now confirm that if you do removed cpu's 3&4 that the blade does come up as BL45p and not BL25p, so i'm not sure had happened to the old board.
