BL460c G6 NC532i dual port 10GbE embedded Nics loss of network connection.

BL460c G6 server in 7000c chassis with cisco 3020 1Gb switches. OS W2003 sp2 32bit std and Ent
The servers have dual onboard 10GbE nics and continually lose their network connection.
The server shows as network cable unplugged and the switch port as err-disabled. It is intermittant and can occur on one or both Nic's also when they are separate or teamed.
driver is HP NC532i dual port 10GbE multifunctio BL-c ver 4.8.5.0.
Anyone else had such a problem.?

Yep we had the same problem. We actually have the 3120X switches and using the NIC your referring to but in a BL490C. You have to upgrade the Cisco IOS to the latest release which I believe is 12.2.50 in order to get your ports to stop going errdisabled.

On current IOS you can fix with:

errdisable flap-setting cause link-flap max-flaps 10 time 10

Thanks for the responses. I had a reply from HP that basically provided the workaround and the firmware upgrade as fixes while acknowledging that the issue is not reported in the release notes for the latest firmware.
