BL460c J102 switch location for iLO2 reset

Hi to all,

I am having problem to boot server after bad firmware upgrade of iLO to version 1.82. iLO is not responding, and I have found info bellow to solve problem, but I can't locate jumper J102 on BL460c board.

â ¢ Reset the iLO

o Power off blade
o Remove blade from enclosure
o Open blade cover and put a jumper on the two pins (J102) close to the system maintenance switch.
o Re-insert blade into enclosure
o Allow blade to power up and If system powers on and iLO2 is dead, power system back off.
o Remove blade from enclosure
o Open blade cover and flip the System Maintenance switch One to â Onâ
o Re-insert blade into enclosure
o Allow blade to power up and start FDT to flash the iLO2 firmware
o Power off blade after firmware updates are completed
o Remove blade from enclosure
o Open blade cover and flip the System Maintenance switch One to â Offâ
o Remove jumper from J102
o Re-insert blade into enclosure
o Allow blade to power up and go through normal boot process.

I will gratefull for any info where to find it. ... Tnx !

Hi guru,

Check this document, page 57:
http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00718709/c00718709.pdf

or the inside lid of the blade to locate the system maintenance switch (SW2). This is a bank of dipswitches located just behind the interface that connects the blade to the enclosure. If you have mezzanine cards, remove them to locate it.

Nearby you will find two sets of jumper pins. One of these is likely the set that your documentation references... Just grab a magnifying glass; the jumper identification numbers are written in small print on the system board next to each set.

good luck, if you appreciate the answers we appreciate the points!
