BL460c - W2K8r2 + PSP 8.30... "Virtual Disk Service" now fails

I have a bl460c G1 server running w2k8 r2.
I recently ran the PSP 8.30 package on it.
After it had completed, "Virtual Disk Services" was non responsive.

How do I fix this?

reboot after psp install if issue persists

are other blades affected
