BL460c & SB600c Blade iSCSI

Is there anyone using iSCSI SAN in the C7000 or C3000?

For the BL460c, do I need to purchase the Proliant Essential Accelerated iSCSI Pack license to activate the iSCSI features on the embedded NC373i HBA? The older version QuickSpecs has that option. The latest QuickSpecs don't even mention iSCSI at all.

Secondly, a lot of documents suggest to put the iSCSI in a different network which imply I need another NC373m HBA install in the BL460c and SB600c + 2 extra GbE2c switches in the blade. Is this a good idea? Or the embedded NC373i is good enough to handle both iscsi and normal network traffic.

Any suggestions is welcome.

Hi ,

I don't think you need another NC373m.
It is Per port License, please refer to the link below.
