BL680C won't stay powered on

I have a new BL680C with the latest ILO firmware that will not stay powered on. If I use the Virtual button to power it on, it goes green for about 15 seconds and then powers off - I get the following system logs:-

Mar 28 17:05:12 OA: Virtual power command enacted on blade 4 by user
Mar 28 17:05:33 OA: Blade 4 has been allocated 800 watts but iLO is reporting the blade is powered off.
Mar 28 17:07:06 OA: Server blade in bay 5 has been powered on
Mar 28 17:07:06 OA: Virtual power command enacted on blade 5 by user
Mar 28 17:08:30 OA: Virtual power command enacted on blade 5 by user
Mar 28 17:08:34 OA: Server Blade in bay 5 has been powered down

Anyone seen this and know what it might be - have reseated the blade also.
Thanks

Re: BL680C won't stay powered on

Check from the OA GUI, under Power and Thermal for the Enclosure Power Allocation, make sure there is enough power available.

As well is important to know if you configured the Power Supplies as AC Redundant, Power Supply Redundant or Not Redundant.

Do you have the Power Limit option Enable?

Check the Power Management option.

Let me know.

Re: BL680C won't stay powered on

6 power supplies, 4 full height blades and 4 490C (half heights). Available power seems OK:-

Enclosure Ambient Temperature 20°C / 68°F
Thermal Subsystem Status OK
Power Subsystem Status OK
Power Mode AC Redundant
Present Power 1087 Watts AC
Power Limit 8755 Watts AC

Re: BL680C won't stay powered on

Chech the memory if you insert more memory than the original, if the memory is inserted ok remove all dimms and make tests with any one of the dimms, chech the logs of the server aditional of the enclosure

Re: BL680C won't stay powered on

Thanks All - I got a chance to physically remove and reset the unit. At that time I reseated all the memory modules and this systems to have fixed the issue.

Thanks Axel for the tip!
