Re: BL860C has 2 drives I see one
You might have hardware raid enabled.
# sasmgr get_info -D /dev/sasd0 -q raid

Re: BL860C has 2 drives I see one
the bl860c has built in hardware raid, this is what you have and can see.
this is visible fron your ioscan output and can be identified by the
HP IR Volume at the end of the line
(HP Integrated Raid Volume)
The two drives will already be mirrored and give you better performance then LVM mirroring
check with robert's command

Re: BL860C has 2 drives I see one
I am not a Unix person, however I do have bl860c's. I have seen a problem similar to what you are describing.
Check the part# for your drives. If I was at work I could give you the correct number, but there is a specific set of part#'s for the internal harddrives in bl860c's
The drives which work in Proliant Blades will not necessarily work in Integrity blades.
I installed two of the proliant drives in an integrity blade and had the problem of only being able to see one (from the shell).
I dont know if this is your problem, but it might be worth checking.

Dave.
