BL870c internal drive configuration

Hi,

I have just received a BL870c Blade with HP-UX. I need to configure the internal drives, but I cannot seem to find the utilities to do this? Can anyone advise the best way to go about doing this?

Thanks
Andrew

Re: BL870c internal drive configuration

I would recommend to create an integrated mirror (hardware):

Hope this helps!

Re: BL870c internal drive configuration

Shalom,

The best option for mirroring for reliability and performance in this model server is the hardware mirror options.

Might be different on a blade system, but a console boot should provide you an F8 option to alter hardware mirroring.

The menu system while not exactly intuitive is something you can figure out.

Re: BL870c internal drive configuration

The F8 or ESC 8 combination works ONLY with smartarray controllers - built-in SAS controllers are different.

See the link I posted earlier...

Hope this helps!
