Bl870c i2 is not getting in to UEFi shell

Bl870c i2 is not getting in to UEFi shell as it hangs after providing option S/s to get in to UEFI shell.

D / d - Launch Device Manager (menu interface)
M / m - Launch Boot Maintenance Manager (menu interface)
S / s - Launch UEFI Shell (command line interface)
I / i - Launch iLO Setup Tool (command line interface)


HP Smart Array P410i Controller (version 3.26)
Currently the controller is in HBA mode

it hangs with above messege.

Pleae help me to resolve this issue

Problem is Shell prompt (Shell>) it self is not desplaying to do any of the operation mentioned in the previous thread.

According to the errata everithing is same. Still i have the same problem.

Are you sure it hangs? In my experience this step can take a while (~10 minutes).

You could also try to unplug the internal disks, or check if the SAS backplane is plugged in correctly.

If you have any mezzanine cards installed remove them and try again. I had the same problem when trying to install an HBA mezzanine card that had an unsupported firmware version.

I had to install the card in an older blade (since you can't FW upgrade the card in the i2 blade due to not being able to boot to UEFI...), upgrade the firmware and then move it back to the i2 blade. After this everything worked.
