Black screen while accessing ILO

It seems I have some issue in network configuration, I could access ILO from my office netwrok but when I triedto do same via Citrix it give me black screen.

Please suggest what ports need to be open to function ILO.

Re: Black screen while accessing ILO

No you can't use ssh for Remote console.

The remote console doesn't use the protocol telnet but only the port. This port can be changed to a custom port. Must be done on all ILO's.

Log in to the ILO

Go to Administration --> Access

Here you can change the port number for telnet/remoteconsole

And disabling telnet access to the ilo. Can't remember if it's disabled by default

Re: Black screen while accessing ILO

what do you mean by "Citrix"? That usually means some form of terminal services/remote desktop or VDI that would still be on your office network. If your coming in over a VPN, you should still be able to access iLO, as again, you would be on your office network.

If your doing some other type of network access where your passing through a firewall, you will either have to open the ports or create some type of secure tunnel.

If you have an advanced iLO license you can ssh into iLO and use remcons (iLO2) or textcons (iLO3) and get to the console. This only works if the host OS has a text based console.

Re: Black screen while accessing ILO

I just assumed he was connecting from a different VLAN than his office desktop was on and there for had different firewall or ACL settings.

It can also be that the Citrix server doesn't have the "add-in" required to display ilo2 IRC. Have you tried the Java version?
