Blade BIOS & Support Matrix
Hi.
I want to upgrade the BIOS on a BL blade server, but I cannot find the URL to the most current compatibility matrix. Can someone advise where this info is?
Also, would be nice to have definitive guidance as to the order in which you should push out updates to blades and the chassis firmware...
Thanks

This may be what you are looking for:

However, its better to download the latest SPP and install it on a system accessible to the server OS' and the blade/OA networks.

There are several variables to consider, but the general consensus on updating seems to be:
- Update the server's ROM and internal components (NIC, FC, etc) first.
- Update the iLO's for the servers.
- Update the OA.
- Update Virtual Connect FW if applicable.

Re: Blade BIOS & Support Matrix
ok so in this case for the below component it can be done using the latest HP SPP bootable .ISO file one by one:
- Update the server's ROM and internal components (NIC, FC, etc) first.
- Update the iLO's for the servers.
so what about the following components ? can I do it from the HP SPP as well remotely ?
- Update the OA.
- Update Virtual Connect FW if applicable.
is there any specific steps to avoid downtime or data loss ?
