Blade OA: 'Kernel: Network packet flooding detected' Error
At about the same time each night, our c-chassis Blade Onboard Administrator logs 'Kernel: Network packet flooding detected.' errors.
I've Googled, but can't find anything related.
Any ideas?
Rob.

Re: Blade OA: 'Kernel: Network packet flooding detected' Error
What is Your OA FW version ? I remember that old versions had these problems.
2.52 is the latest. You could update your ILOs to 1.78 before that.

Re: Blade OA: 'Kernel: Network packet flooding detected' Error
This message is generated when the OA port is flooded with certain amount of traffic (Not sure what the treshold is), since it is a 10/100 port, it will not be able to handle it and might reboot. Most of the times it happens when your OA is on your main network or VLAN, due Multicast or Broadcast traffic, the easier way to avoid this will be create a separate VLAN for management only.

Re: Blade OA: 'Kernel: Network packet flooding detected' Error
Thanks Gents.
The OA version is fairly recent - v2.41
I'm still seeing the flooding, so I'm going to talk to our Network Manager about VLANing the Ethernet port.
Cheers, Rob.
