Blade c7000 connectivity configuration
First at all, Hello, this is my fisrt post in the forum.
I┬┤m plannig a c7000 blade configuraion and i need help to validate the connectivity configuration.
These are in general the components:
-C7000 enclosure
-4 VC 1/10GB
-2 HP B-series 8/24c BladeSystem SAN Switch
These are the questions:
-I want connect a EVA 4400 to the San Switch. Could I connect an additional San MSA2312fc?
Do I need any other thing, active aditional port in the san switch?
-Can I stack VC modules in fabric 1/5?
The cable needed to do it is included with the vc module?
Thanks a lot and so sorry my English

Re: Blade c7000 connectivity configuration
Yes You can connect additional FC devices to uplinks. nothing extra is not needed (you have the 8/24 licence).
"Can I stack VC modules in fabric 1/5"
I don't follow what You mean, but yes you can (and you must) stack the VC modules. You can stack those with CX-4 cables or normal RJ-45.
Another question is why you have Virtual Connect ethernet modules but no Virtual Connect FC modules ?

Re: Blade c7000 connectivity configuration
You will need 2 though to complete the loop. (I think)
And yea.. why not go with FC VC Modules? Just wondering.

Re: Blade c7000 connectivity configuration
When you say 1/5 are you referring to the interconnect bay numbers? If yes, the interconnect modules should be connected to the bay numbers based on the port mapping for C7000 enclosures.
The link has the port mapping details for C7000 enclosure.
