C-Class networking problem
Hi,
I have c-7000 enclosure with bl460c servers installed, everything upgraded to latest firmware. Network switches are Cisco 3020, and they work fine. But I have constant network failures with Onboard Administrator. Whenever there's higher traffic (like Virtual Media), link goes down. Even when I use simpler protocols like Telnet, link is unstable.
OA log says:
Nov 25 16:02:53 Kernel: Network link is up at 100Mbps - Full Duplex
Nov 25 17:16:39 Kernel: Network link is down
Nov 25 17:16:40 Kernel: Network link is up at 100Mbps - Full Duplex
Nov 25 17:18:56 Kernel: Network link is down
... and so on...
Firmware versions are:
Onboard Administrator - 2.04
Cisco Switch 3020 - 12.2(25)SEF1
Brocade 4Gb SAN FC - 5.3.0a
iLO тАУ 1.42
Any idea?
Thanks

Re: C-Class networking problem
What swithes are the Cisco 3020s connected to? This happens on the swicthes on both sides?

Re: C-Class networking problem
So this is the OA/ILO Port that is unstable? What does the OA/ILO port connect to? Make sure that the port that you are connecting the OA/ILO port is set for autonegotiation. I don't really suspect a duplex mismatch though.
Verify the cable, maybe try a different upstream switch port.

Hi and thanks for your replies.
Switches are connected to Cisco Catalyst 6500. Yesterday I changed port speed to 100 MB half duplex and had no problem since...
