C7000 - 3 Fans running at 77%, how to determine why?

We did an OA upgrade from 2.60 to 3.21 recently. Everything working great.
All ILO's on this enclosure are at 2.05.

We have 9 C7000 enclosures... and on just one, there are 3 fans (8,9,10) that are running at 77% usage, while all others are at 33%.

All ILO's in that enclosure appear to be responding ok. I've tried bouncing the OA's, but the fans slow down, then spin right back up.

Is there a way to determine what's causing it? It seems it's got to be one of the servers is reporting an odd driver or something.. they shouldn't be running that fast.

Hi Brian,

You will need to check the virtual fan for each blade in this enclosure. You can see the vfan details by clicking on summary on each blades.

One of the blades must be running at higher vfan speed.

Identify the blade causing it and then troubleshoot it further.

Bhavin.

Also take a look at the temperatures in the ILO's on each of the blades. You will find readings for memory, processors, etc.. You may find that one of them is out of whack. That will cause the fans to spool up.

Could be as simple as a baffle isn't seated right or missing inside a blade..
