C7000 AC overload message?

Tristan was helping a customer with a question:

********************

A customer performed power redundancy tests recently.

We have a message in the OA that we did not expect/understand.

The enclosures are configured for redundant power and have 6 PSU’s installed.

AC feed 1 was shut down, dropping PSU’s 4,5 and 6

Feb 23 18:39:46  OA: PS Subsystem N + N Redundancy - FAILED. Allocated Power: 4456W DC, Present Power: 3651W AC.

Feb 23 18:39:46  OA: AC Subsystem Overload - FAILED. Redundant Power: 2400W DC, Present Power 2515W AC.

Feb 23 18:39:46  OA: Enclosure Status changed from OK to Degraded. (Power Subsystem)

Feb 23 18:39:47  Kernel: Network link is down

Feb 23 18:40:09  OA: PS Status Changed: Bay #4 From: unknown To: failed

Feb 23 18:40:09  OA: PS Status Changed: Bay #5 From: unknown To: failed

Feb 23 18:40:09  OA: PS Status Changed: Bay #6 From: unknown To: failed

What does the AC Subsystem Overload means exactly in the OA syslog?

input from Monty:

The OA report of overload is based on whether the Allocated Power is supported by the Power Capacity.  In the syslog message below the OA is only detecting 2400W of power capacity against Power Allocated of 4456W.

Since there are six supplies in the enclosure – what is the status of Power Supplies 1, 2 and 3?  I suspect only one of them is reporting OK status.
