C7000 Interconnect reseat after power outage

We have had 2 events where the DC lost power and once power was restored the Interconnect cards had to be reseated. Is this a known issue with the C7000 enclosures or do you have ideas of why this may be happening?

So the Data Centre lost power twice?
What interconnect modules?
Why did you have to reseat them?
What error or issue did you experience?

Re: C7000 Interconnect reseat after power outage

This is just a comment, (and doesnt really help with your problem). We run several c7000 enclosures in 2 different data centers, with a mixture of Itanium and Proliant c-class blades, pluss Virtual Connect. One of our Datacenters has been experiencing power issues over the past 2-4 months. We have has 2-3 total power outages during this period, however I have never had to reseat any of the Interconnect modules or server blades. All components came back on line, and blades booted fine, when power came back.

I am currently running OA Version 2.6 on some of the enclosures, and OA Version 3.21 on one enclosure.

Re: C7000 Interconnect reseat after power outage

Log in to the OA via the GUI interface, and on the Left, click on "Interconnect Bays". It will then list the Modules that are installed, and which bays they are in.

You could also cut and paste the relevant section of the OA Log into a text file and attach it to your post. This might help significantly.
