C7000 and Virtual Connect Software

Hello,

New to VC and was wondering in a C7000 enclosure, what software is needed for virtual connect? Is it part of the Insoght Control Suite?

Thanks

No, The VCM (Virtual Connect Manager) runs in the VC ethernet module.

If You have lot's of enclosures then you might want to use VCEM which is licensed feature (integrates to HP SIM)

Re: C7000 and Virtual Connect Software

Just to add to Jarkko's response...

You manage Virtual Connect through a browser (IE 6/7 and Firefox 2/3 have all worked for me) or telnet/SSH connection to one of the Virtual Connect Modules (via the Onboard Administrator). You will find a link for the Virtual Connect Manger page at the bottom of the left panel in the OA GUI.

And he's right! Assign points when you get the help you're looking for! :-)
