C7000, cisco c3020 swap
Hi, as i'am not a expert on c7000 i would like to know how to swap the c3020 in a c7000.
The reason is that we have some issues with these cisco's and we would like to swap these with new devices. According to the HP engineer who implemented the c7000 these devices can be hotswapped and will receive config. automatically. Can someone confirm yhis and point me to some documantation on HOW to do this. Thanks in advance.

Re: C7000, cisco c3020 swap
Hi!
According this document (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/CoreRedirect.jsp?redirectReason=DocIndexPDF&prodSeriesId=2510334&targetPage=http%3A%2F%2Fbizsupport1.austin.hp.com%2Fbc%2Fdocs%2Fsupport%2FSupportManual%2Fc01008585%2Fc01008585.pdf - Cisco Catalyst Blade Switch 3020 for HP Getting Started Guide) you don't need to do an additional steps exept ip-address assigning. You can also read this documentation - HW installation guide (http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01009050/c01009050.pdf ).

Re: C7000, cisco c3020 swap
The new devices will not receive config. The only thing that replacement devices will receive are management IP addresses from EBIPA or DHCP. It is up to you to save the config from the existing 3020's and restore it on to the replacements.
