CMS iLO
Hello,
Help me pls I dont understand completely how iLO works.
Insight Dynamics installed on CMS server has capability to access blade server's iLO. What network is used to access remote server iLO(blade iLO), If CMS server(DL360) connected to iLO network(iLO port) and datacenter network(LAN port). That is, do i need routing beetwen iLO network and datacenter network or i can absolutly isolate iLO network from other networks.
Thanks in advance

Re: CMS iLO
iLO is separate from the server itself. It is used to remotely control the server so you can reset power and get a remote screen/console. For these reasons it should not be publicly accessible. You probably want to put it behind a firewall, and preferably also in an isolated network so you need to VPN or tunnel in to get access to the ilo.
You also want to be able to access the ilo from another machine than your "CMS".
If you can trust the datacenter network I suppose you can have routing between them. Is up to you.
