CPU(s) operating at reduced performance level due to a low power cap.

On one of my 12ESX BL460C / I have :

IML reports me this type of errors :

CPU(s) operating at reduced performance level due to a low power cap.

Should I do anything ?

Re: CPU(s) operating at reduced performance level due to a low power cap.

Is the current performance level satisfactory to you?

If not, check the power settings using the enclosure's Onboard Administrator. Does the power cap match the amperage ratings of your power sources (UPSes/wall sockets/whatever)?

I seem to recall that the enclosure's factory default power cap is set to the minimum value, to allow the use of the enclosure with low-amperage power sources in a safe manner.

If your power source exceeds the minimum amperage requirements for the enclosure, you can raise the power cap accordingly.

If you cannot confirm the power/amperage ratings of your power source(s), don't raise the power cap: overloading your power sources can overheat their wiring at the lowest-rated point. This will usually mean either breaker trips or a fire hazard.
