Can someone explain about SUS and trunks?

What is a SUS and trunk? Are they something you configure in VCM? Thanks.

Re: Can someone explain about SUS and trunks?

Hi,

The best explanation is with a picture, which I have made available on my blog: http://www.bitcon.be/?p=801
There is also a link to a HP document with the title "HP Virtual Connect for the Cisco Network Administrator"
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01386629/c01386629.pdf
Normally with these 2 documents you should get further...
Otherwise let us know...

Re: Can someone explain about SUS and trunks?

Thank you. So it seems that sus and trunks are only related to using cisco products? Is that correct?

Re: Can someone explain about SUS and trunks?

A SUS can be used to any brand of switches, on switch level you must create a LACP channel of trunk (depending of th brand the name changes...) On Cisco side it is called a Etherchannel...

So it is more a 'brand' thing, technically this works on all brands of switches...
