Change ILO name to DNS fully qualified domain name

I was wondering if I could change the ILO name to DNS fully qualified domain name?

since I need to create a certificate on order to use the directory settings on my ILO's but the problem that I currently have is that is not taking the certificate because the name does not match the DNS FQDN!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, login to the ILO and head over to the network settings page. You can rename it and specify a domain name.

Yes we follow the FQDN in case of ILO.

Re: Change ILO name to DNS fully qualified domain name

The ILO name does not accept any . characters for example hello.mydomain.loc then how do you do it?

Thanks

Re: Change ILO name to DNS fully qualified domain name

Be sure to add your new ILO DNS name to the forward lookup zone in your DNSMGMT app.
