Chaning Interconnects from 1 bay to another in c7000
Quick question.
One of my blade enclosures I have to swap interconnects in bay 3 and 4 for 5 and 6.
No big drama.
The blades in the enclsoure that had mezzanines have been removed to other enclosures.
The baldes that remain only have the onboard NIC.
Question
Can I swap the Interconnects while these Servers are on with no effect to production .
Cheers
Steve

I don't see any problem in that.
But, when ever you are working on running systems, there's a little risk, that something can caurse interruption. Even though you are following procedures by the book.

Re: Chaning Interconnects from 1 bay to another in c7000
Steve,
Providing that they are not FC modules (and not in use), there is no reason why you shouldnt remove them.
If they are Virtual Connect modules, you should ensure that none of your profiles, vLANS, UpLinkSets, etc. have any references to the ports on those modules you are removing/moving. I think that the only way this could impact your running servers is if their profiles reference these modules, which is unlikely if the blades only ever had Onboard NICs.
If appropriate, you should delete the IC modules from the Configuration before adding them back in to the new slots.
