Re: Communication issue between Blace c3000 and SAN MSA 1000

Last question...

I was trying to connect via telnet to the switch but I haven't got it.

I've only a cable which I plug into the serial port of the switch and the other end of the cable is a "special" RJ45 which I can only plug into the SAN but not in a laptop.

D'you know how can I telnet it?

Hi,

Normal serial cable or cross-over ethernet cable should work.

Telnet 10.77.77.77 or with browser

Re: Communication issue between Blace c3000 and SAN MSA 1000

thanks again...

This blade gives me headache. Now, they are just recommending I buy "HP StorageWorks 4/8 SAN Switch - A8000A" because this have NPIV and it's compatible with the MSA 1000 but now I've got other doubt. I've got two servers DL380G4 with a Qlogic Fiber channel HBA. Is this card compatible with the switch recommended?

Re: Communication issue between Blace c3000 and SAN MSA 1000

I think I found the card ref. It is a "A7523A 2Gb Fibre Channel HBAs". This card was included in the MSA 1000 starter kit...
