Connecting C7000 Enclosure to Onboard admin and Upgrading Firmware

Hi,

I need to connect another 2 C7000 eclosure to existing onboard administrator (which already have 2 enclosures connected), I have gone through the wizard but did not give me the option to add new enclosure. I need to update the firmware on these enclosures. Need to update the firmware then move the blades on production to it making sure it works before proceeding with the live environments

Please any usefull advise will be appreciated

And by connecting the enclosures you mean what ? You can only connect OA modules with enlosure link ports.

You have to setup a corresponding IP (same Subnet as your primary OA) on the new Enclosures by toggeling it on the small OCP.
After that connect the Enclosures via the Enclosure OA-Uplinks. Then you should see all of them and can manage what you want.

Isn't there a limit on how many enclosures can be "daisy-chained" in this fashion??

I thought it was only 3-4??

I'll go halfway with you. I see it's intended for enclosures in the same rack, which means 3, but I don't see explicitly stated a limit of 3 - unless I'm blind and missed it somewhere.

I have connected 4 c7000 shelves in a row
and can see all of them via OA.

Many thanks to all who reply, it's been very helpful, i have now been able to connect all via OA and can see all, I have one other question, the firm where on this is 2.01, can anyone please advise the latest firmware and where/how to obtain this
