Embedded NC532i Dual Port Flex-10 10GbE Multifunction Server Adapter

Im planning to purchase a HP ProLiant BL460c G6 Server series (507780-B21). I notice that the network interface of the G6 is now Embedded NC532i Dual Port Flex-10 10GbE Multifunction Server Adapter. Our bladesystem enclosure is C3000 and it only have an HP 1Gb Ethernet Pass-Thru Module for its network interface. Do i need another module for my C3000 for the G6 server's Flex-10 10GbE Multifunction Server Adapter to work? Im really not familiar with the new Flex-10 since my blade server are G5 series with 2 embedded single port NC373i Multifunction Gigabit Server Adapters. Please help. Thanks.

Hi,

If You want to use FLEX-10 features, You need a FLEX-10 Virtual Connect -module(s).

You can still use it as a normal 1Gb LAN interface with your pass-through module.

Thanks Jarkko. My first impression of flex-10 is that it have replaced the embedded Gigabit network adapters on the G6 server.
