External Tape Enclosure Compatibility
We recently upgraded to the c3000 enclosure w/BL460c G7 blades installed from 3 Proliant DL380 servers. We have an existing external tape enclosure (HP StorageWorks w/4 SDLT 220 Tape Drives)that communicated with one of the old DL380 servers via SCSI/VHDCI. Will installing the PCI expansion bay adjacent to the server we want to back up and then putting a SCSI card into the PCI slot work to allow us to back up our server?
I looked at using this PCI card and this expansion bay.

Re: External Tape Enclosure Compatibility
"HP does not support any HP branded PCI cards for the PCI Expansion blade. This blade is intended for use with specialty PCI cards that are offered by third party PCI card manufacturers."
Please check with the HP Pre-Sales team to get exact info of third party supported PCI Card.
Thanks
