HP Blade c3000 Enclosure Fans blowing hard

Hello Everyone,

I have a Blade c3000 and for some strange reason 2 fans seem to be blowing really hard. (98%) All the others seem to be just fine. I have tried replacing the fans with new ones, and I still get the same result.

Any help would be appreciated.

i take it you have no warning lights of error messages in the OA.

you could try reseating all the fans and PDU's

We have seen this happen with our c7000 enclosures. Reseating the OAs works every time... but that isn't an option for your c3000. One other method that has worked for us is to power on all blades and allow them to complete POST. After they have all done this, shut down any you like via iLO.

I had the same problem with my c3000. The problem was ilo version 1.80. I downgraded all my blades to 1.79 and shutdown all blades.

ensure oa version is minimum 2.52 ,

now ensure al ilo firmware is 1.79
reboot each blade when don e
pull out OA and reseat it ,

when pullled out fans will go full speed this is normal , put it back in and all will go back to normal,,,

ow wait for next gen of ilo firmware not 1.80
