HP C-Class C7000 balde server power issue
We have got 13 enclosures of HP C-Class blades and have installed OpenSuse 10.2. We have a WoL script to wake up all the systems at one shot. When we run this script, few of the servers are not getting powered on. In sight monitor shows, "insufficient power supply on the bay". I tried adjusting "input watts" on the enclosure setting, but it didn't help us. Have anyone experienced this problem. Thanks in advance.

We have the same problem, it's a fault with the power-capping code on the OAs. There's no exception to the capping limit during enclosure start, this will be fixed in the future but for now you'll just have to have a higher-than-ideal cap or remove capping all together. Phil.

Re: HP C-Class C7000 balde server power issue
THis is all fixed and available in OA FW 2.60 (at least; maybe even in a lower OA FW already). You can now set times on what Blade SHould power on First and what the delay for the other servers will be. You can even put a delay on the servers and select the interconnects to startup right after each other!
ENjoy?!
