HP Integrity BL860c server blade and VMware
Is there support for VMware on the BL860c blade?
We are on the verge of buying a number of these blades to run VMS, but my boss doesn't want to buy something that may be useless if we get off if VMS. Also, he just got back from Openworld and heard that Oracle will have its own VM type product. He was wondering if that product will run on the BL860c blade.

Re: HP Integrity BL860c server blade and VMware
I do not believe that VMware supports Itanium systems. However, there is the HP Virtual Machine product, and in addition, the Integrity servers in general and I believe the BL860c specifically also supports HP-UX, Windows Server, and Red Had and SuSe Linux on the bare iron.
Whether Oracle supports their VM product on Integrtiy will be as much up to Oracle as anything else I would think.
