HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module-what 24 port on this one means and also what connectors ??
Guys new to the abovem,
could you please tell me what 24 port on this one means and also what connectors would i be able to use to connect to my core network switch (ethernet? fibre?) and for fabric switches? (fibre? sfp?)
please shed some more light, i have gone through the quick specs
but according to that
1. 4x 1/10gb ethernet (sfp) - what connectors??
2. 2 x 10gb ethernet or 2/4/8 gb fibre (sfp) what connectors?
above does not equate to 24... so why 24 port??

16 down (to servers) and 8 up (there are 8 ports on the back , x1 - x8, not 6) - just a guess.
This is good..

16 server downlinks...
8 external uplinks.
On the external side, there are 3 groups of ports
G1 = 2 ports, for 10GbE Ethernet or 2/4/8Gb Fibre
G2 = 2 ports, for 10GbE Ethernet or 2/4/8Gb Fibre
G3 = 4 ports 10GbE or 1GbE
Options for these ports are...
SFP, SFP+, Twinax and Active Copper Molded cables

Re: HP VC FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module-what 24 port on this one means and also what connectors ??
great, makes complete sence and also been through the cookbook, very useful..
would u say the below design would be right for hyper-v or most optimal? i am not too confident about using trunking, i have seem problems, but must admit that is on 1 gb uplink and is serving all the vlans and iscsi as well !!!!! guess 10gb + 10gb according to the figure i..e 20gb (etherchannel) - probably would not suffer from the same, is anyone doing it this way or differently??
