I/O Mismatch Detected

I am just beginning to setup our blade environment on a BLC7000 with 6 x BL465c.
The configuration on the Interconnect Bay is...
Bay1: Emulex LPe1105-HP 4Gb FC HBA
Bay2: Emulex LPe1105-HP 4Gb FC HBA
Bay3: HP GbE2c Layer2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch
Bay4: HP GbE2c Layer2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch
Bay5: HP GbE2c Layer2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch
Bay6: HP GbE2c Layer2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch
Bay7: HP GbE2c Layer2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch
Bay8: HP GbE2c Layer2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch
The configuration on all 6 Blades is...
Mezzanine1: HP 4Gb FC Pass-Thru Module
Mezzanine2: HP NC364m Quad Port 1GbE

I am receiving a Port Mismatch on Interconnect Bays 1-4. Do I need to swap the FC HBA on 1 & 2 with the Switches on 3 & 4? Not sure? Let me know if you need more info. Thanks.

Welcome to the ITRC Forums!

Yes, you've understood the problem correctly.

The integrated NICs on all blades are hardwired to connect to I/O bays 1 & 2, so you should always populate those with Ethernet I/O modules.

Likewise, as you have the FC HBAs on Mezzanine 1, you should have the FC Pass-thru modules in I/O bays 3 & 4.

(You had the HBA & Pass-thru module names reversed in your configuration listing. A copy/paste error, I presume.)

The Installation Guide for the c7000 chassis has a nice set of diagrams detailing the hardwired I/O connections between the I/O bays and the blades. For a sysadmin of a c-class blade chassis, it is important to understand this wiring.
