IO Capacity of BL45P Server
Hi All,
What IO capacity do these servers maintain? I believe the HBAs will give us a 160MB/sec each. Now I need to know if the IO Bus will reach or exceed this.
Much appeciated,
Shaun

Re: IO Capacity of BL45P Server
Hi Shaun
Their are 3 chips in the AMD 8000 series chipsets used on the BL45p. There is a throughput of 3.2 Gigabytes/s on 8 bit devices and double that for 16 bit with the 8131. The 8132 chipset extends this to 8 Gigabytes/s on PCI-X 2.0
However its most likely that these servers are running the 8111 chipset which gives an IO throughput of 800MB/s
Regards
