Install and configure a stand-by onboard administrator module

I have a C7000 blade enclosure with one onboard administrator module.  I purchased a stand-by onboard administrator module but I'm looking for the proper steps to install and configure the module.  Short of physically installing the board and connecting it to the network, what is the proper procedure to configure the module (settings and firmware)?

Thanks

Well, make sure it has the same firmware level as the primary OA. You need to set the IP address.

Hope this helps!

Make sure you enable Enclosure IP Mode under the Enclosure TCP/IP Settings.  You only need to statically set the IP for the Active OA (the Standby can be set to DHCP - that will work).  Do make sure to make the DNS Host Name is the same for each.  Lastly enable Link Loss Failover.

Re: Install and configure a stand-by onboard administrator module

Thanks for the info.  Yes, was going to set DHCP for the stand-by OA.  Before I install the module, I was going to update all firmware with the latest version.  Then install the stand-by OA and do the Synchronize Firmware option.  Does this sounds reasonable?
