Istanbul on BL685c G1/G5

Istanbul on BL685c G1/G5

I was wondering if anybody knows if Istanbul works on a BL685c G1 or G5? The BIOS ROMID for it is A08. The BIOS ROMID for BL685c G6 that supports Istanbul is A17, so it doesn't look like it can be used on the G1/G5. The latest BIOS for the G1/G5 is 2009.01.29 which doesn't look like it has the updates for Istanbul. It seems a bit strange that most other blades has a BIOS update of 2009.05.07
