KVM and c3000 with bl460c blades
We are in the process of configuring our first blade system and are unsure of what is or isn't required for console aces to the individual blades. From the specs there appear to be no kbd/mouse ports, usb or ps2 so a kvm doesn't seem usable.
Intially, it will all be local access but we will need remote console access. currently we have an IP capable kvm but are not sure of c3000 capabilities.

Re: KVM and c3000 with bl460c blades
Hi Sander,
The c3000 enclosure KVM option plugs into the rear of the enclosure and provides a VGA connector and two additional USB 2.0 connectors. This option enables control of all blade servers contained within an enclosures. This option is compatible with rack KVMs, allowing control of up to eight enclosures.
To use the c3000 enclosure KVM option, choose one of the following options:
â ¢ Connect the VGA connector directly to a monitor or to an HP KVM switch using a CAT5 KVM adapter.
â ¢ Connect a keyboard and a mouse to the USB connecters
â ¢ Connect the HP rack monitor keyboard and mouse through the CAT5 KVM adapter to an HP KVM switch.
