Liux can't detect my disks

I have two servers blades BL 460c G1 in HP Blade System c7000 enclosure.
I need a good release of smart start to install the server.
The CD of smart start could not complete the configuration.
The controler is Smart Array E200i.
I download the latest release of the smart start but the problème is the same.
I use RSBU but I didnot found System Options to select Linux.
dont found System Option to select the operation system Linux
in RSBU to install

HP's smartstart only supports linux distributions: Redhat enterprise linux, Suse enterprise linux.

And the bl460c g1 is also supported in smart start 8.15

My OS release is SUSE Enterprise 9.
Do I need a patch or upgrade to upper release

To install Linux on a Proliant you must boot with Linux CD. SmartStart can do an assisted installation for Windows but not for Linux.

It contains Linux PSP, which you install once the OS is installed and running.

It would be better to use something newer. There _may_ be SPmumble support for SLES9, but SLES10 is a better bit to have the required version of the (iirc) cciss driver in it.

I'm sure that somewhere on www.hp.com there is an OS support matrix for the BL460c G1.

SLES9 is fully supported on the BL460c G1. The initial release of SLES9 probably doesn't have a new enough cciss driver to recognise the controller.

I am trying to install suse 10 in BL460c G1 along with SB40c storage blade.

Can anyone tell me whether i need to check any settings so that the hard disks on storage blade is detected during OS installation.
