Mapping External USB HDD to blade through OA
I was wondering if anyone has can confirm if it is possible to map an external USB hard drive connected to the OA USB port on a c3000 to a server blade.
Ultimately we plan on having an iSCSI storage system with dedicated switching in the blade enclosure, but we need a temporary storage solution that costs less than a storage blade. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Mapping External USB HDD to blade through OA
I don't think this is supported as storage for the blade servers. The USB port on the OA servers two functions.
1) USB ports on Onboard Administrator are used to connect external DVD drives to support the enclosure DVD feature.
2) I believe you can also use USB for OA firmware flashing.
