Memory Errors and degration on the BL685c G1 blades

We are frequently getting memory errors on the BL685c G1 blades. Does anyone know of any issues with these memory modules or blades?

Re: Memory Errors and degration on the BL685c G1 blades

Just found this ... Not sure about know issues with Blades.

If the correctable memory error is false, the following error message will be displayed in the Windows event log and a corresponding SNMP trap (type 6029) will be forwarded to the connected service center; however, no memory event will be logged in the Integrated Management Log (IML):
Event ID 1071
System Information Agent: Health: Correctable memory error detected.
The errors have been corrected, but the memory module should be replaced.
[SNMP TRAP: 6029 in CPQHLTH.MIB]

These options can be configured in ROM-Based Setup Utility (RBSU) by pressing F9 at POST. Within RBSU, select Advanced Memory Protection from the Main Menu.

Re: Memory Errors and degration on the BL685c G1 blades

Hi Tdubb,
Are these memory error always indicate the same memory slot or ramdon slot in one server ?
These are pre-failure memory alert, call HP to replace these memories , if alert appears repeatable, please check system board condition.
Regards.

Re: Memory Errors and degration on the BL685c G1 blades

Should a blade keep running if experiencing this issue? My BL 685c would not boot the other day until I removed the affected memory and I'm wondering if that's a configuration problem.

Thanks,

James
