Mezz Card 1 not linking in VC
c3000 chassis
Dual Flex-10 modules
BL460g7 Blades
HP NC542m Dual Port Flex-10 10GbE installed in to Mezz 1
Hosts:
Windows Server 2008 R2
ESX 4.1
Issue:
My second network card (539857-B21), installed in Mezz slot 1, is showing as "Not Linked" in Virtual Connect Manger.
It is also showing within VC as speed 1GB.
It is not visible to any of the host operating systems.
Currently the system is not using the second FLEX-10 module.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.
Jim

Re: Mezz Card 1 not linking in VC
Do you have this same issue on all blades?
Is the port mapping enabled for the ports?
Do you have drivers installed for it?
Drivers:

Re: Mezz Card 1 not linking in VC
The architecutre of c3000 bit differ from c7000.
In C7000 if we want to use VC modules on inter connect 1 and 3 then we need a interconnect on that (CX4 Cable to be connected between both)
So based on this, I think interconnect link required between Interconnect 1 and 2 as these modules are independent in C3000 unlike c7000.
Please check the installation guide and ensuer that Both VC Modules imported on the VC Domain.

Re: Mezz Card 1 not linking in VC
Have the latest NIC frimware installed on the blade.
This is an offline version not available in FW DVD 9.20 b. You will need to update it individually.
