Migrate from VC 1/10 to Flex-10

Scenario:

C7000 slots 1 & 2 contain the VC 1/10 modules and the desired end goal is to replace them with Flex-10 modules.

Question:

What is the best practice to upgrade slots 1 & 2 to the Flex-10 with the least amount of downtime and configuration changes.
