I have been having an issue where the server name goes blank in the OA. I can enter something in the Asset Tag field, but don't understand why it is disappearing initially..

I would recommend as a first step that you ensure you are running the latest OA firmware:

Have similar problem. OA is losing status of blade or have wrong status.

Tried reset the OA without good result.

Using latest firmware 1.30

Any idea ??

Any luck with this? I am using firmware v1.30 as well and whenever I image a blade the name goes blank in OA.

I also have the same issue with the name disappearing for a blade. I'm using OA 1.30 firmware.

I've seen this as well in 1.30.

Can't remember if it was fixed with the latest server BIOS update. Have you tried this?

Same results even with the latest BIOS which I believe is I15 dated 04.06.2007.

I had the same issue with 1.30 OA f/w.

Resetting the active OA cleared it up for me.

For everyone seeing this...it is only when you image a server?

Reseating the OA card did the trick as LJM posted. The information does dissapear after imaging the servers to answer your question.
