POST errors in IML logs BL20P G3
A BL20p G3 is shutting itself down at random intervals e.g 4 times in one day, okay last couple of days.
I am getting the following errors in the IML logs:
-POST error, critical error occurred prior to this power up
-ASR detected by system ROM
-unknown event(class 20, code 3)
The blade has had a new system board, power converter and DC filter recently. Has anyone else experienced these errors?
The blade has the latest proliant support pack and firmwares from the firmware maintenance CD. Tried in multiple enclosures, including one with latest enclosure firmware.

Start with disabling the ASR. Next time it will have problems there should be some info available where to start troubleshooting.

Re: POST errors in IML logs BL20P G3
Thanks, that was a useful suggestion & I may use that method in future problems.
In this case, the IML is still not giving me any useful information on the cause. I have been swapping out components with a known working blade this afternoon. The only thing that hasnt been swapped out is the SCSI backplane. I am wondering if the replacement system board is faulty. I will have another talk with HP.

Fault fixed by reinstalling OS with latest smartstart 8.10.
PSP update previously did not fix.
