Power predictive failure after upgrade OA firmware

Hi!

Our oldest c7000 enclosure is still running with four bl460c Blades loaded in it. I want to synchonize the firmware with a new c7000 enclosure.

So i started updating the iLO's of our blades to version 1.80, after that i upgraded our OA to version 2.52.

Now, all the powerunits in the updated OA show "predictive failure". I read i should upgrade the powerunits to version 3.4D, but where is this update located? All i can find is an Online rompack for Windows 2003 but we run VMWare ESX on our Blades.

I found an unattended firmware upgrade CD (bbfirmware-1.60-0.zip), this CD said everything is up to date.

Anyone here that can help me out?

Spoken to HP Support, they said this is a known issue and all power supplies needs to be replaced.

Problem Solved.

Re: Power predictive failure after upgrade OA firmware

This is the actual issue.

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01519680

And..

The power 3.4D firmware update is found under the section just labeled "firmware" on the drivers and firmware page.

Re: Power predictive failure after upgrade OA firmware

Yeah correct. It took me a while to find out what was wrong since no error message appeared in the OA. Funny thing was that an error message did appear in the show_all log.

I went to https://h30090.www3.hp.com/pcc-CPS/ to get a tool that extracts the information needed and some new power devices are on it's way now.
