Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

I have updated OA to 1.20 and ILo to 1.26, removed blade from bay and re-inserted to another bay and another chassis --> blade does not power up

Re: Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

LED stays amber no matter what You do.
Nothing on IML (exept blade position change notification). Console stays grey and says that server is powered down. And OA LCD panel says that blade is ok.

Re: Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

Would it change statement at console from server powered down to anything else if you press and hold power button for 8 sec and release

Re: Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

Does the blade complain about too high temperatures?

For some reason we did have a similar case. The blade was complaining about too high temperatures and could not boot. The server did boot after resetting (removal and re inserting) the first nic switch.

Hi,
Nothing in logs, and the funny thing is that OA thinks that server has power on.

Re: Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

Same issue here.
AO 1.20 and ilo 1.26. Server doesn't power up. Health LED goes red, rack booms up (cooling@maximum) and iLO doesn't show errors.
It thinks the server is running perfectly. Weird thing is though, if you query temperature information and such: everything remains at 0° C. Maybe some kind of "ilo"-link lost or such

Re: Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

Well ...problem solved. I changed the mainboard, it's the easy way out =)

Re: Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

I was about to place a msg about the same problem that we are having with some of our blades (DL460c G1 with recent firmware versions) when I saw this post. A bit disappointing to find out that the solution is to replace parts. Stubborn as I can be at times I wanted to explore possible alternatives and I eventually solved the problem by resetting iLO.

Re: Proliant BL460c doesn't power up

There is a dependency on the iLo and the OA, iLo2 firmware must be updated to at least 1.50 before updating OA.
But in this case I'd recommend to clear the NVRAM (removing the battery).
