QHM4062 Windows 2008 R2 support

We need to urgently deploy Boot from SAN for Windows 2008 R2 servers. When are HP planning on providing native support for Windows 2008 R2 on this particular card?

Are you asking for support with the Microsoft 2008 native drivers? If so, why?

These drivers only provide support for Windows 2008 and not Windows 2008 R2. We are Boot from SAN over iSCSI using these cards currently with Windows 2008 and need to move quickly to Windows 2008 R2.

The current drivers from HP don't support Windows 2008 R2 even though it's been out for over 4 months.

I need to know when HP will provide native support for Windows 2008 R2 on these QLogic rebranded HBA's.

QLogic have stated that the lack of support for Windows 2008 R2 has been down to HP not ratifying the drivers thus my question over when are HP planning on providing driver support for Windows 2008 R2.

HP does have a driver that supports W2008 R2.

The QLogic 9.1.8.17 driver is the minimum driver required to support Windows 2008 R2.

The HBA's listed in this HP Support Communication are all Fibre Channel adapters, the QMH4062 is an iSCSI HBA.

We would like to know if and when HP will be releasing a driver which provides support for Windows 2008 R2.

Is this W2008 R2 x86 or x64?

Cheers for the reply, Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 is only available in 64bit Editions.

The drivers listed on the mentioned link are the same drivers as the Microsoft Windows 2008 ones, these do not work with Microsoft Windows 2008 R2.

Let me check with higher-level resources. I was not aware the drivers listed did not work for 2008 R2.
