QMH2462 / RHEL5 / Blade / Firmware
Hello,
Im having trouble finding firmware for the QMH2462 Qlogic HBA.
I read this on the Qlogic website.......
QMH2462 drivers exist for all major operating systems. A single driver strategy per OS allows storage administrators to easily deploy and manage HBAs in heterogeneous SAN configurations. In addition, QLogic’s unified driver model, whereby firmware is bundled with the driver, eliminates any potential interoperability issues between the driver and firmware and reduces the number of software components to be managed.
http://www.qlogic.com/Products/SAN_products_FCHBA_QMH2462.aspx
Although a Support Communication suggests that the firmware is avaliable on the Blade Firmare Maintenance CD, where I can see any release notes to list the latest & greatest.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=c01627909&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
The current version I have is Firmware version 4.00.90 [IP], but I believe this to be quite old....
Can anyone advise???
Many thanks

Re: QMH2462 / RHEL5 / Blade / Firmware
hi,
Firmware is inside the driver.
BIOS can be flashed. Latest BIOS
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=3709945&prodSeriesId=1844104&prodNameId=1844105&swEnvOID=54&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=co-74057-1
Also blade firmware deployment tool updates BIOS automatically.
