Question on memory speed
Is it true that the memory speed will decrease if all the memory slots are filled on a Proliant blade server? Also, can the memory be configured with different speed memories? Thx in advance.

Re: Question on memory speed
hi,

= yes
hi, check this docu from HP :
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01852590/c01852590.pdf
go to "Memory technologies" section
and also check this link from HP
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/options/memory-description.html
and also you could use this tool :
DDR3 Memory Configuration Tool - but sometimes the configuration is not so trust full.

Re: Question on memory speed
hi,
no, because the itanium is another architecture, but there is also some rules how to add the memory, , for example in superdome there is also dependence to the performance where the cell board is located in the cabinet that is joined with another cell.
