Restored Blade460c fails to boot from SAN disk. Help!

Customer has restored a BL460c 2003 OS Citrix server which boots from a SAN disk. Unfortunately we (HP) did not realise this & had built the OS to a local disk.

Now I'm unable to boot from their restored OS sitting on the SAN. I have run Ctrl Q at Bios and set the Qlogic adapter settings & bootable disk path. Could anyone confirm what the boot.ini bootpath should look like or help & advise?

Re: Restored Blade460c fails to boot from SAN disk. Help!

Did you try to remove the local disks and try booting from the SAN disk after that ?

During the new OS build on the local disks, did the SAN lun got overwritten ? Are you able to see that SAN lun now in Windows (using boot from local disk OS), hopefully the original OS on the SAN lun was not erased during disk partitioning... but this can be checked now from the local Windows installation.

Yes the FC HBA was set to the first boot controller in BIOS.

Yes the local disks were ejected whilst troubleshooting.

In the end the system booted off the SAN & the Citrix OS was corrupted. What a day.

Thanks for your help.
